Odds to Win Nascar Cup Series Championship 2023

It’s not too early to start thinking about the NASCAR Cup Series Championship for next year. The engines aren’t even cold from the 2022 season, but the results this year showed that the competition is getting hotter than the V8s under the hoods. Check the Nascar cup series 2023 futures below.

Every year, sportsbooks set out the NASCAR odds and futures for who they expect to take the checkered flag for the championship. Looking back on the performance some drivers gave this year, NASCAR fans and sports bettors can expect another banner year when considering the NASCAR Cup Series 2023 futures.

Eight names who have taken the podium at least once will get behind the wheel again. When the Clash at the Coliseum arrives on February 5, it will set the stage for what’s coming down the pipe. The NASCAR Cup Series Championship will take place tentatively at the Phoenix Raceway on November 5 as drivers make their final 312 laps of the season.

Chase Elliott

Last season, Chase Elliott came close to winning the NASCAR Cup Series Championship for a second time but missed. His only win in the event so far came in 2020, but he has been a part of the playoffs every season since he became a full-time Cup Series driver.

Elliott took five Cup Series races of the NASCAR schedule last season, the most of any driver. He finished the season with 12 finishes of fifth or better and 20 inside the top ten. In the NASCAR Cup Series 2023 futures, William Hill gives him +600 to take the championship, putting him in the same place as Kyle Larson.

Kyle Larson

Larson, always a favorite in the NASCAR betting picks, got off to a better start in 2022 than he did in 2021 in the NASCAR races but couldn’t keep his performance up. He hit a rough patch that lasted for several months before he found the right gears in August.

Larson and Elliott had their controversies during the season, so it’s almost fitting that they would have the same odds of winning the championship. The rivalry continues in 2023, although Larson is taking some time off in order to recharge and prepare for a new season.

Joey Logano

Despite winning his second Cup Series championship in 2022, Joey Logano still doesn’t get a lot of respect. In the season that just wrapped up, in addition to taking the championship, he finished 17 races inside the top 10. Of those, he ended in fifth place or better in 11.

Although that’s not as strong as Elliott’s performances, his two championships prove his ability. Logano always knows how to find a way to move into position at just the right time. Holding the race in Phoenix will be a plus, as it’s a track he knows well. In the NASCAR Cup Series 2023 futures, he’s getting +1200 to take the championship and has a lot in his favor.

Ross Chastain

At Martinsville, near the end of the 2022 season, Ross Chastain made one of the greatest racing moves. A run against the outside wall helped him reach the championship race as one of only four drivers in the running for the title.

However, although he was hot at the beginning of the season, he hit a lull in the middle before turning up the juice toward the end. His two race wins in 2022 could be a catalyst for better performances next season, and Chastain is another who is getting +1200 in the NASCAR Cup Series 2023 futures lines.

Other Drivers In The Hunt

There are still other drivers that could surprise next season if they pull off some stunning performances. Christopher Bell is getting +800 because of improvements he made in 2022, and Ryan Blaney is drafting behind him at +850.

Both may be getting better odds than Chastain, but the latter’s spectacle at Martinsville raised eyebrows. It was a bold move with a solid outcome that showed his talent behind the wheel. If he continues to pull off similar antics in the 2023 season, he’s going to move up quickly in the charts.

In the 2022 season, there were 19 different race winners. That tied for most of any season and is going to impact the way sportsbooks modify the odds for the NASCAR Cup Series 2023 futures. In addition, ten drivers have odds of +1200 or better, another unusual accomplishment for NASCAR.

The first couple of races of the season will set the bar on what’s to come. However, based on what was seen in 2022, 2023 is going to be a banner year for NASCAR racing and NASCAR betting.
