Gold Trip storms home in Turnbull stakes | 00:47

It’s Christmas in October with the running of the $20m The Everest the highlight of racing all around the country on Saturday. But it’s also a cracking 10-race card set for Randwick all round!
A field of Group 1 horses will attempt to dethrone Mr Brightside in the inaugural running of the $5m King Charles III Stakes while another edition of The Kosciuszko also holds plenty of intrigue.

The rail is in the three metre position and with super weather in Sydney throughout the week, racing is set to go ahead on a dry track.
Barrier 12 of 12 for In Secret (9) but she’s got Zac Purton on top and she rates as the one to beat. This is grand final day so we’re yet to see the best of her this preparation but the two runs have been super and she was doing her best work late when fourth to Private Eye at 1100m. The extra distance is a big plus (6:4-1-0), she’s a superstar and can conquer The Everest.
Think About It (3) has a will to win that might be unmatched in this field. Hawaii Five Oh had him cold in the Premiere Stakes but when challenged, Joe Pride’s winning machine kicked back to hold on. This is by far his toughest test to date but every time it’s got harder, he’s risen to the challenge.
There’s no Giga Kick but I Wish I Win (1) beat him at Randwick’s last major sprint - the Group 1 T.J Smith Stakes.
Barrier one is very tricky for him, as is the lack of lead-up runs coming here six weeks after his third to Mr Brightside in the Memsie.
Class isn’t an issue, though, and that will bring him a long way.

Overpass (5) leads and as we’ve seen in the past, they can go slow up front in an Everest especially as there doesn’t look to be heaps of speed in the race. Super first-up when just claimed by Private Eye, he’ll be better at 1200m and from barrier two, Josh Parr should find his way straight to the front.
