Race 1. (13:25) Bivouac @ Darley Maiden (1150m)

#2 – Man of Valor @ $5

Man of Valor has been close to winning after posting consecutive placings, so we’re happy to stick with him.

The three-year-old son of Star Turn ran third at Hawkesbury last start and he has been primed with a trial at Rosehill.

After opening at $4.60, punters now get a better price, and the odds are worth taking on an each-way basis.

Race 2. (14:00) Bowermans Maiden Handicap (1150m)

#3 – Speymalt @ $4.20

Speymalt comes off a trial win at Rosehill at her fourth attempt, which holds her in good stead for her debut.

The three-year-old daughter of Not a Single Doubt defeated Ravisher, which is a $5.50 chance in this race, so it’s a good form guide.

Peter and Paul Snowden often have good success with their youngsters, and she could get them off to a winning start.

Race 3. (14:35) Star Turn @ Vinery Stud BM72 (1400m)

#3 – Demitasse @ $2.45

Demitasse was too good for a Highway field at Randwick last time out, which is always a good form guide for midweek racing.

The three-year-old son of Shalaa owns four wins from eight career starts, so he hasn’t done much wrong throughout his career.

Most of the betting support has come his way after opening at $2.70, so we’re happy to take him at the current odds.

Race 4. (15:10) Hyland Race Colours BM78 (2400m)

#4 – Oz Legend @ $4

Oz Legend hasn’t been the most consistent this season, but we liked his win at Warwick Farm earlier this preparation.

The five-year-old son of Australia has mixed his form since, but he took on some smart types at Rosehill last time out.

Barrier two is ideal and punters get fair odds.

Race 5. (15:45) Tab BM72 (1400m)

#8 – Principessa @ $3.80

Principessa owns only one win from 15 starts, but the four-year-old mare is knocking on the door after posting five consecutive placings.

The daughter of Vadamos was only a nose behind So Good So Cool last time out, who has since won another race on Saturday.

The form bodes well and $3.80 is a generous price at the book.

Race 6. (16:20) Robrick Lodge BM64 (1000m)

#2 – Hi Dubai @ $3.10

Hi Dubai looked the goods when winning on debut at Canterbury by four lengths behind struggling at Gosford.

The three-year-old filly by Highland Reel could hit the ground running again and she has been prepared with two trials.

Barrier nine makes it a bit tricky, but there is enough betting support to suggest she could win.
