Los Angeles Dodgers at Colorado Rockies 3/20/23

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be in Scottsdale, AZ Monday night for a spring training game against the Colorado Rockies. Los Angeles comes into Monday with twelve wins so far this spring after winning four of the last five including two in a row following a 6-4 when over the Chicago White Sox. Michael Grove got the start for Los Angeles giving up two runs on five hits across 3.2 innings of work resulting in a no decision. The Los Angeles bullpen pitched well allowing only two runs on three hits before Yency Almonte came on in relief to give up no runs on no hits across one inning to pick up the victory. The Los Angeles bullpen was fantastic giving up no runs on three hits over the final three innings to secure the narrow victory.

Freddie Freeman has been the top bat in the Los Angeles offense this spring posting a .421 batting average in 19 at bats across eight games to go along with a team leading three home runs as well. Miguel Rojas carries a .321 batting average to go along with a team high nine hits and Hunter Fedducia leads Los Angeles this spring with nine RBI's overall.

The Colorado Rockies come into Monday with eight wins thus far this spring after losing four of the last five including an 8-5 los to Kansas City in their last game. Ryan Feltner struggled immensely on the mound for Colorado giving up eight runs on eight hits across 4.2 innings of work leading to the loss. The Colorado bullpen however was fantastic giving up no runs on two hits over the final 4.1 innings in the loss.

Offensively Colorado was mediocre from the plate with thirteen hits in 39 at bats including five hits with runners in scoring position but left eleven men on base leading to the loss. Nolan Jones led the way for the Colorado offense with two hits in five at bats to drive in two of the five Colorado runs. Ryan McMahon added one hit and three at bats to drive in two runs, while two other Rockies did enough to drive in one run each.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the better teams this spring and will continue to roll against a struggling Colorado team. Look for Los Angeles to control this game on both sides of the plate as they will pick up another victory.
