2023 Wyndham Championship Picks & Odds: Thomas Makes Final Push

For many, this week is about one thing: getting inside the FedEx Cup Top 70 and securing a spot in the first playoff event next week. With some in better positions than others, there's a ton to play for — read more in our Wydnam Championship odds below.

It may be the final event of the PGA Tour regular season but drama is still high as many sitting outside of the FedEx Cup Top 70 will look to get inside the line and secure a spot in Memphis next week.

The most notable of which is Justin Thomas, who heads to the Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield CC sitting 79th after missing yet another cut at the 3M Open last week.

We break down his chances in our full Wyndham Championship betting preview below, including golf odds andfree golf picks

Wyndham Championship field and favorites

This field may not be anything to write home about (it usually isn't) but with so many hovering around the Top 70 cut-off line, there are still a number of key storylines worth following.

Justin Thomas (79th, +3,000) is the obvious one after his slump continued last week, but guys like Cam Davis (72nd, +4,000), Shane Lowry (76th, +2,500), and Adam Scott (81st, +2,500) are just a few spots and a handful of points back of 70th.

And while the names at the top of the board have secured their spots in Memphis, playoff positioning will be key as the cut-off number slims to 50 for the BMW Championship and 30 for the TOUR Championship. There's a ton to gain — and lose —for everyone in the field.

Topping the board at 18/1 apiece are Sungjae Im (36th) and Hideki Matsuyama (56th). Sungjae missed the cut at the 3M last week but has three Top 10s here at Sedgefield, including a runner-up finish last season.

Sam Burns (19th) sits third at +2,000, followed by Russell Henley (34th) at +2,200. Both are returning after missed cuts at Royal Liverpool. Adam Scott and Shane Lowry round out that top tier at 25/1 apiece.

2016 champion Si Woo Kim (18th) sits seventh at 28/1 with former World No. 1 Justin Thomas sitting eighth at 30/1.

Defending champion Tom Kim is not in the field this week after suffering a Grade 1 tear in his right ankle at Hoylake.
