Defensive player props

Jonathan Allen Over 0.25 sacks (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jonathan Allen has registered four sacks on the season and is tied with fellow defensive end Casey Toohill as the team leader in that category. Both have benefitted from the departure of both Montez Sweat and Chase Young, who combined for 11.5 sacks before leaving the team. Allen collected the Commanders’ only sack on Geno Smith last week in Seattle.

New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was the third-most sacked quarterback in the league (30) despite appearing in just six games this season. His replacement, Tommy DeVito, hasn’t had it any better, suffering 13 sacks in his three appearances. Washington quarterback Sam Howell is the only quarterback to have been sacked more than the combined total of both Giants signal-callers.

Maxx Crosby Over 4.5 tackles + assists (+135 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Maxx Crosby is tied for second on the Raiders in total tackles this season (59) and is averaging 5.9 total tackles per game. So far this season, the ferocious defensive end has accounted for at least five combined tackles in all but two of his 10 games.

He’ll have plenty of opportunities to make tackles this week against a Miami Dolphins team that is averaging 31.3 rushing attempts at home this year. Miami is surrendering the second-most tackles per game this season (55.7). That number jumps up to 62.5 at home.

Damontae Kazee Over 0.5 interceptions (+390 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Damontae Kazee has only two interceptions on the season. However, both of them have come within the last three games. The Pittsburgh Steelers safety has faced the Cleveland Browns three times in his career and has picked off the opposing quarterback in two of them.

This week, the Steelers are set to face Cleveland backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson with Deshaun Watson out for the season. The rookie out of UCLA threw three interceptions in his first and only career start against the Baltimore Ravens.
