Food City Dirt Race Picks and Predictions 2022

The dirt racing experience of the dirt drivers is beneficial to Cup cars. Last year's Top-6 finishers were: Logano, Stenshouse, Hamlin, Suarez, Newman, and Byron.

Larson has a lot of experience in dirt racing. He's used to sprint cars, midgets and dirt late models. Dirt racing is different than sprint car, Midget or dirt track racing, because cars are heavier and have less horsepower.

The Food City Dirt Race is held every year. The Stage 2 winner won this race last year, but only twice all season has the race winner scored a Top-5 finish in the second stage.

The driver who's led the most laps in the first eight races of the season hasn't won. Austin Cindric led zero laps before Lap 156 at Daytona. Kyle Larson led one lap before lap 167 in Fontana. Alex Bowman had just 13 laps led before laps 272 in Vegas. Chase Briscoe had only led 19 laps. William Byron had led 20 laps only before the lap 143 in Atlanta. Ross Chastain had no laps lead in first two stages of COTA. Denny Hamlin had none in 395 laps at Richmond.
