Golden Knights vs Canucks Picks, Predictions & Odds Tonight

With Brock Boeser leading the NHL in goals and the Canucks offense continuing to fire on all cylinders, we like Vancouver to continue its home dominance when it plays host to a reeling Vegas side. Read more in our Golden Knights vs. Canucks betting picks.

Two of the top teams collide tonight in the NHL odds when the Vancouver Canucks host the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas, in particular, has slowed down of late, though, losing three straight games and five of its last six outings.

Meanwhile, Vancouver sniper Brock Boeser has moved into the league lead in goals with 17 after scoring twice in each of his last two games.

Will Boeser lead his club to the top of the Western Conference standings tonight? Find out in our NHL picks and predictions for Golden Knights vs. Canucks on Thursday, November 30.

Golden Knights vs Canucks predictions

While the Vegas Golden Knights have gone ice cold with just one win in their last six games, it’s also been a bit of a rocky road for the Vancouver Canucks, who are 3-4-0 in their last seven outings. However, Vancouver did pick up two points in its last contest against Anaheim on Tuesday, thanks in large part to a two-goal outing from Brock Boeser.

Boeser has caught fire in November, scoring 11 goals in 14 games with four multi-goal outings this month, including two in his last two contests. The Canucks winger has always had a knack for putting the puck in the net with a career shooting percentage of 13.4, but he’s nearly doubled that mark this season, converting on 26.2% of his attempts.

That number certainly won’t be sustainable over 82 games, but it’s not surprising how much Boeser has been scoring given Vancouver’s potent offense. The Canucks lead the NHL in goals for (91), goals per game (3.96), and rank third on the power play (29.8% conversion rate).

At the other end of the rink, the Golden Knights have dropped three straight games to the Oilers, Flames, and Coyotes. Despite owning one of the NHL’s top defenses this season, Vegas has allowed 2.92 goals per game since November 5 — tied for 11th in the league — while going 3-5-3 during that stretch.

With the Canucks scoring at least three goals in five of their last six games and the Golden Knights still struggling, I’ll look for Boeser to find the back of the net once again.

Golden Knights vs Canucks same-game parlay

Brock Boeser anytime goalscorer

Canucks moneyline

Canucks team total Over 3.5 goals

I’ll lean on the Canucks in tonight’s same-game parlay as I bank on a Boeser goal, a Canucks win, and at least four goals from Vancouver in the victory.

The Golden Knights fortunately banked plenty of points to start the season but have frankly looked like one of the worst teams in the NHL for most of November. Vegas is 3-5-3 since November 5 with its nine points over that span tied for seventh-least in the league. The Canucks have had their struggles but are 7-5-0 during that stretch — tied for fourth in the league.

Vancouver is averaging nearly four goals per game this season and should have a good chance at scoring at least four tonight vs. a crumbling Golden Knights defense. The Canucks have scored at least four goals in five of their last 12 contests.

Golden Knights vs Canucks moneyline and Over/Under analysis

The Canucks come into tonight’s game as the home favorite, opening at -122 on the moneyline, while the total was set at 6.5. Given Vegas’ struggles, I’m siding with the hosts in this matchup while also taking the Over.

Vancouver has been red hot on home ice this season, going 8-1-1 at Rogers Arena, tied with Vegas for the most points among all clubs. The Canucks are also 6-1-0 in their last seven home games, with their only loss being a narrow 4-3 defeat against the Kraken on November 18.

Another big reason to like Vancouver is goaltender Thatcher Demko, whose .928 SV% ranks tied for sixth in the NHL among all netminders with at least five games played. Demko has allowed just one goal in each of his last two starts and three of his last four outings.

If these teams are going to cash the Over on 6.5 goals, the Canucks will likely need to do most of the heavy lifting, but that shouldn’t be a problem considering their offensive performance up to this point. Vancouver has scored four-plus goals in 11 of 23 contests this season and boasts three of the NHL’s top eight point-leaders in J.T. Miller, Quinn Hughes, and Elias Pettersson.
