BIFROST (Race 2 No 1) Keen to speck this son of Turn Me Loose first-up in a race where there's a few queries on some of the more favoured runners. He's a deadest dry tracker so he gets the perfect surface over a track and distance he's won at, and he always fires fresh including first-up last prep where he flashed home over 1000m at Bendigo. Blake Shinn will ride him quiet but keep him in touch in the smallish field and with speed on up front, he'll be storming home. BET: EACH-WAY

CORIOLIS (Race 4 No 2) Outside of the deep odds-on pops late on the card this looks the best play of the short-priced favourites. She's flying this prep with the two good runs at Newcastle before coming south where she was a super impressive winner from a mile back on the Lakeside track. Just as good on top of the ground and well in with the claim for the flying Carleen Heflel, she looks like she'll love the step out beyond 1200m to be storming over the top of these. BET: WIN

TASMAN PARK (Race 6 No 2) The Mike Moroney-trained gelding is becoming a touch costly having gone off a well-tried favourite his past two starts but at the early price I'm keen to give him one more chance. There's no doubt he should have won second-up when exposed four deep the trip and he wasn't beaten far last start on the heavy (9). Right at his peak and receiving a 2.5kg turnaround in the weights, I think he's the one more suited onto the drier surface and he gets a dream run on a soft speed. BET: WIN
