Randwick Horse Racing Tips and Best Bets 28/7/23

Racing returns to Randwick with strong fields across the 10 race card.

The rail is in out 5m for the entire circuit and we should be racing on a Good 4 surface once again.

Our leading NSW form analysts have settled on their best plays for the meeting.

Randwick Tip from Luke Hovhanesian

Randwick Race 10 #14 Anagain $10.00

You would struggle to find a horse more deserving of a win in all of Australia right now.

This 4YO mare keeps motoring home from a long way back in her races, and while it is a racing pattern I despise, she gets the right set up here to break her drought.

Last start at this track, she looked the winner all but the post, when nailed by the talented Fearnought.

She now drops back to 1300m and finds a race with plenty of speed engaged.

Jockey Jay Ford will take her back from the wide barrier of 10 and granted she stays in touch with them, has the turn of foot to blow these away.

With only 52kg on her back, she will be storming down the spacious Randwick straight.

By race 10 the wider lanes should be the A-ground and she looks very well placed at big odds.

Randwick Tip from Michael Gannon

Randwick Race 6 #4 Custodian $16.00

This 3YO gelding was slammed in betting last start, from an opening price of $21 all the way into $5.

He jumped well but was restrained to sit worse than midfield and from there it was curtains.

He struck a track where you had to be up on the speed to have any chance of winning.

He ran on well all things considered and looks to have returned a better horse off a gelding operation.

He will strip much fitter for the run and should be improved here at the spacious Randwick track.

It's D-day for him but is a classy galloper full of potential.

Randwick Tip from Dean Watling

Randwick Race 1 #6 Shaken $4.40

This 2YO filly returned to the track last start for just her 2nd career outing.

She was first up off a long spell and put a hole in her rivals at Wyong, with a very impressive final 400m.

There is a huge spruik around for this horse and the talk is that she is Group class.

She is set to get tested here against some talents but gets the perfect race shape to show her electric turn of foot.

Has come up a great price and expect her to start much shorter come race time.
