How Aston Martin Plans to Get Back to F1 Relevance

Aston Martin's performance this season has been disappointing. The team has scored in 10 of the last 13 Grand Prixs. It is currently ninth in the championship on 25 points. Mike Krack, the team principal, took up the reins in March. He believes the new regulations will help the company improve its performance. They need to focus on the development of their car. A revised concept was introduced at the Spanish Grand GP. Aston Martin will focus more on developing the car in 2022. There will be more consistency in Formula 1 next year. This year the rules are staying more consistent.

Sebastian Vettel will leave the team in 2022 and be replaced by Fernando Alonso. Aston Martin will team up with Lance Stroll. Lance's father owns Aston Martins.  Krack believes Lance is an underrated driver. He believes Aston will not take the easy way and will work hard to improve its performance. The team will try to become regular front-runners.

Aston Martin needs to improve in order to compete at the front in 2022. Aston Martin is currently ranked 25th in the standings. A new factory and the recruitment of Alonso are key to the team's future success.  Alessandro Krack is aware that Aston has not seen progress since the company was green. If it remains ninth, it will be the worst classification since 2009.
