Erik ten Hag’s men sit eighth in the league table with 31 points after 20 games and are struggling for form as they have only managed to win one of their last five league games.

As for Tottenham, they sit fifth in the league table with 39 points, just one point behind Arsenal who occupy the final Champions League spot. The visitors are in brilliant form, winning five of their last six games in all competitions and come into this game full of confidence despite some absences within their squad.

Manchester United have had the better of Spurs in recent seasons, having won four, drawn one and lost just one of their last six head to head meetings in the Premier League. Despite the superior recent head to head record, current form favours the visitors and we should expect to see a tightly contested clash as both teams look to make a move towards the Champions League spots. I have included two of my best bets for this mouth watering clash in the preview below:

Team News:

Martinez, Casemiro, Mount & Amrabat are out for United while Eriksen, Malacia, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Diallo, Martial & Antony are doubtful.

Ben Davies, Lo Celso, Perisic, Maddison, Solomon, Whiteman, Veliz, Dier, Sarr, Bissouma & Son are out for Tottenham while Romero is doubtful.

Man United vs Tottenham Tips

Porro Over 1.5 Tackles. Fernandes Over 0.5 Fouls, Over 0 2nd half cards

- Pedro Porro - Over 1.5 tackles

- Bruno Fernandes - Over 0.5 fouls committed

- Over 0 cards in the 2nd half

Pedro Porro has made the third-highest tackles in the league this season (57) and is averaging three tackles per game for Tottenham. He has had 2+ tackles in all nine away games in the Premier League so far and up against Marcus Rashford, I expect him to get another two tackles comfortably.

As for Bruno Fernandes, he is averaging 1.3 fouls per game for United in the league this season and has committed a foul in nine of his last 10 starts. He has also committed at least one foul in his last three consecutive head to head meetings against Tottenham.

Finally, we have a card-happy referee John Brooks in charge of this game and he is averaging close to six cards per game this term, so in such a significant game for both sides in the battle for European spots, a second half card should be a banker with cynical fouls and aggressive tackles expected from both sides. Combining these three selections gives us a solid bet builder @ 9/10 and we will take that as our main bet for this game with a 1pt stake.

Bruno Fernandes anytime goalscorer + Destiny Udogie to be carded

Bruno Fernandes scored the last time he came up against Tottenham at Old Trafford in the Premier League in a 2-0 win. Despite only scoring three league goals this season, Bruno Fernandes is taking the most shots for United per game (2.5) and is also their designated penalty taker.

As for Destiny Udogie, he is Tottenham’s joint most booked player having picked up five yellow cards and one red card. He is averaging the second most fouls per game for Tottenham (1.6) and was also booked in his last head to head meeting against Manchester United earlier this season. Combining these two selections gives us a cracking longshot double @ 10/1 and we will take that as our second bet for this game with a small 0.25pt stake.
