Marlins vs. Mariners prediction and odds for Monday, June 12 (Take the OVER)

The Miami Marlins and Seattle Mariners will face-off in a three-game interleague series set to begin on Sunday night in the Pacific Northwest.

The Marlins will roll with Jesus Luzardo (3.79 ERA) tonight. He’ll face Bryce Miller (4.46 ERA) of the Mariners.

Let’s take a look at the betting odds for tonight’s series opener in Seattle.

Marlins vs. Mariners odds, run line, and total

Marlins vs. Mariners prediction and pick

With the total set at a relatively low mark of 7.5, I’m going to take the OVER tonight.

The Marlins offense has been red hot lately, so I’m surprised this total is so low. They rank fourth in Major League Baseball in OPS over the last 30 days at .783. They’re also seventh in total runs scored over the time frame with 133.

Meanwhile, the Mariners have specifically fared well against lefties over the last 30 days, coming in at .751 in OPS against left-handed pitching.

That’s good news for them tonight since they’re facing a lefty in Jesus Luzardo. Luzardo has struggled at times recently, allowing at least five earned runs in two of his last four starts.

If he’s not on his “A” game tonight, the Mariners are going to take advantage.

I’ll take the OVER in tonight’s interleague series opener.
