NASCAR Clash betting 2024: See five picks to win, full odds

2024 NASCAR Cup Series action will get underway this weekend with the unique exhibition race known as the Busch Clash at the Coliseum.

The Cup Series season won’t officially begin until the week after the Super Bowl with the Daytona 500, but the Clash offers some exciting early racing on a unique 0.25-mile course inside the LA Memorial Coliseum.

The first two years of the Clash have produced different winners, and while it’s proven to be a tough race to predict, I went through the betting odds and identified five drivers that I feel offer value to win.

2024 CLASH TOP FIVE PICKS TO WIN

Top play: Kyle Larson (+900 to win)

Larson’s yet to win the Clash, but he’s run well in both of his previous starts having finished fifth each time and has proven capable of winning on any type of track. Larson’s currently the co-favorite at +900, which shows how wide open the field is with the favorite normally around +500 to win, so I’ll take my chances on arguably the most talented driver in the sport.

Trendy play: Christopher Bell (+1200 to win)

Bell’s the type of driver that tends to rise to the occasion at tracks where most drivers have trouble, and the Coliseum fits that bill, especially with it being the first race of the season. Bell’s previous Clash results aren’t anything to write home about, but he’s been in the mix and could be on the cusp of breakthrough this year considering his strong short track history.

Value play: Tyler Reddick (+2000 to win)

Reddick was well on his way to winning the 2022 Clash before a mechanical failure and recorded a solid sixth-place finish last season in his first start with 23XI Racing. Reddick will be more familiar with his car and team heading into 2024 and should be able to run well this weekend and possibly challenge for the win, so 20-to-1 feels like great value for a driver this talented.

Underdog play: Austin Dillon (+2500 to win)

Dillon is coming off a nightmarish 2023 season, but the bottom line is that he’s got a knack for running well at the Coliseum having recorded back-to-back top-three finishes at the Clash. Dillon’s teammate Kyle Busch is a co-favorite to win at +900, but I’ll take a shot on Dillon as an underdog since he’s shown the ability to run up front in this race.

Longshot play: Daniel Suarez (+8000 to win)

Suarez seems to be a forgotten name having tumbled down the odds chart after a disappointing 2023, but he still drives for one of the better teams in Trackhouse Racing and has made the Clash field the past two years. It will be tough for Suarez to win considering how deep the driver lineup is, but he could be worth a shot at 80-to-1 in quality equipment.

2024 NASCAR CLASH AT THE COLUSIEM ODDS

The 2024 Busch Clash at the Coliseum main event is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. central and will be broadcast on Fox, and the heat races to set the field will begin on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. on FS1.
