NASCAR Cup Series Las Vegas: Pennzoil 400 odds, TV info

The NASCAR Cup Series is headed to Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which will be the first race of the season at a traditional 1.5-mile track.

The first two Cup Series races were at drafting tracks and produced exciting finishes, and while Las Vegas doesn't always deliver thrilling endings, it's a race that tends to reveal who the true Cup Series contenders are.

Kyle Larson (+400) is the early favorite to win this weekend's Pennzoil 400, and the oddsmakers have him with by far the best odds to win considering how dominant he's been at Las Vegas in recent years.

A pair of former Las Vegas winners are next on the odds chart in Denny Hamlin and William Byron at +850, with Byron being the defending winner of this race.

Next up are a couple of drivers who haven't won at Las Vegas before in Ryan Blaney and Christopher Bell at +900, but they've both ran well here in the past.

Tyler Reddick and Martin Truex Jr. are also among the favorites at +1000 as well as Kyle Busch (+1200) and Chase Elliott (+1400).

Other contenders include Joey Logano and Ross Chastain at +1500 followed by Brad Keselowski (+1800) and Bubba Wallace (+1900), and they’re the only other drivers with odds better than 20-to-1.

Some longer shots to keep an eye on include former Las Vegas winner Alex Bowman at +2200, rising star Ty Gibbs at +2800 and last weekend's winner Daniel Suarez at +6500.

There are a total of 37 cars entered in this weekend's race, which includes the 36 charter teams plus an open car, and they’re all guaranteed a starting spot since there aren’t more than 40 cars attempting to qualify.

The Pennzoil 400 is scheduled for Sunday, March 3 at 2:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on Fox. Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at 1:50 p.m. on FS1.
