Patriots vs. Browns Odds: Line Shifts in Cleveland's Direction

The New England Patriots are playing the Cleveland Browns on the road on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots were listed as a 1.5-point favorite last week, but the line has since shifted to the Browns by 2. 5-3 points.

The new Browns lost last week 30-28 at home to the LA Chargers. Last year's meeting between the teams ended with the Patriots trampling the Browns 45-7. The last time a team with top-ranked offense was shut out at any time was in 1964 when the Baltimore Colts fell to Cleveland in the NFL title game. In that year, the old Browns defense happened to be ranked last in NFL. Nick Chubb is the leading rusher in league with 593 yards and 6.1 average.

The Browns have been a soft touch for enemy running backs this season. Rhamondre Stevenson had a career-best 161 rush yards last week vs. Detroit. Damien Harris is doubtful for Sunday's game. The Browns were expecting more of a pass rush with the return of Jadeveon Clowney and Myles Garrett. Bill Belichick might help keep Zappe out of trouble as he did with Jones last year.
