Read along for a betting analysis, preview, and prediction before you bet on MMA this week.

Brendan Loughnane vs Jesus Pinedo

Location of the fight: Elite Arena, Atlanta, Georgia.

Date and Time: Thursday, June 8. 10:30 PM ET approx main event cage walks

How to Watch: DAZN | ESPN+

Loughnane is fresh off of a TKO victory in April over Marlon Moraes.

There is no question that Loughnane is the man to beat in PFL’s featherweight division. The Manchester native is fighting at his highest level right now at the age of 33. He holds a record of 27-4 with 14 TKO/KO victories and 1 submission win. He has never gotten finished either.

Loughnane likes to use his length and strike his opponents at range along the outside of the cage. He was in the outer zone of the PFL cage 65% of the time in 2022, landing 121/169 leg strikes and even mixing in takedowns–landing 8 out of 13 attempts last year.

The 26-year-old out of Peru is coming into his second fight on the PFL roster. He is 20-6-1 in his pro career, with 11 TKO/Ko wins and 4 submissions.

In his debut fight, he was 2/2 with takedowns but landed zero strikes when he got his opponent down. He also spent 82% of that fight in the inside zone of the cage. So Loughnane will also be comfortable on the outside.

No injuries that would affect the Loughnane vs Pinedo prediction have been reported to the PFL.

After breaking down the MMA stats of both in the PFL, let’s take a look at the betting odds. Even if you make a Loughnane vs Pinedo prediction, it is tough to make that align with the best bet available in sportsbooks.

Loughnane is listed as the massive -500 betting favorite over Pinedo, who is the +375 underdog. This is something that you will see a lot of in PFL events: a skill gap that tends to be there until the end of the year when the title fights happen in playoffs.

Keep your eyes on MMA news and your local sportsbooks for more odds to become available as fight week goes on. There will be prop bets with much better odds than -500 for the betting favorite.

After breaking down the analytics, watching film, and taking a peak at the early betting lines, it is time for the Loughnane vs Pinedo prediction ahead of this week’s PFL 4 main event.

This one is pretty easy to pick. Loughnane is far too skilled to justify a pick against him when he fighting a young man with no big names on his record. Loughnane is the best you can get out of the PFL featherweight division and will get his hand raised on Thursday night.

Loughane will use his movement around the cage and will continue to pile up leg kicks to slow down Pinedo in the early portion of the fight. Don’t be surprised with a TKO/KO finish by the reigning champion. The odds of a prop bet in favor of Loughane finishing Pinedo will have a much better payout than his moneyline.
