Carlos Carrasco will take the mound for the Mets on Friday. Across three starts this year Carrasco is 0-2 with an 8.56 ERA and eight Ks in 13.2 innings. Carrasco is 104-87 over his career with a 3.92 ERA in 286 games (239 starts).

The Guardians are 13-3 in their last 16 interleague road games and 9-3 in their last 12 Friday games. Cleveland is 5-11 in their last 16 versus the NL East.

I’ll probably try the Guardians in this one. Quantrill is pitching pretty well these days. Over his last three starts combined, Quantrill has five earned on 13 hits and seven walks in 20.1 innings of work. He’s 1-0 in that time and has gone at least 6.0 innings in all three outings. As for Carrasco, this will be his first start off the injured list following elbow swelling due to a bone chip. Carrasco has been pretty shaky in his three starts so far, and he probably won’t be out there for too long. This should be the Guardians’ advantage if they play well.
