John Deere Classic picks: Expert picks, best bets for PGA Tour golf this week

The John Deere Classic takes place at TPC Deerey Run in Silvis, IL this week. Webb Simpson and Adam Hadwin are the favorites. Patrick Cantlay collapsed at the Travelers Championship. Brian Harman cashed for a Top 10 at +450.   The PGA Tour is handicapping this field with intentions to profit, but also to mitigate risk.

Denny McCarthy is the pick to win the John Deere Classic at TPC Deerey Run. McCarthy has been playing well recently and has a hot putter. He missed the cut last week, but was Top 40 in the previous two years.

Nick Hardy is a top 10 pick for John Deere Classic. He finished T35 in Canada, T14 at the US Open and T8 at Travelers. Hardy made his first PGA Tour starts at this event and finished in T43 there in 2018.

Patrick Rodgers has made six of his last seven cuts and hasn't finished worse than T32. He's finished T23, T43 and T2 in his three starts at the TPC Deere Run. Rodgers is a good value for a player who could win this week and has a hot putter.

Adam Schenk is a good bet to finish in the Top 10 at the John Deere Classic. He's been T26 or better in two of his last three starts and finished T4 and T6 in past two John deere events.

Sam Ryder is a longshot pick to win John Deere Classic at +12500. Ryder finished T35 at Travelers last week.
