Spurs to progress

Tottenham head to Championship side Sheffield United this evening for a big fixture, hoping to progress to the quarter-final stage of this season’s FA Cup.

It should be another entertaining match at Bramall Lane, with the Blades on course for promotion from the Championship and full of confidence heading into the game.

It will be a tough test for Spurs as United have won 11 of their 17 Championship home matches to date, although the difference in quality between the two teams could make it difficult for Paul Heckingbottom’s side.

Tottenham have shown big improvements over the past few weeks, with confident home victories against London rivals West Ham and Chelsea.

Defensively Spurs have looked more solid and are likely to put out another strong line-up against the Championship outfit.

Alongside that, Harry Kane is expected to start for the north Londoners, coming into the match on the back of an important goal against Chelsea at the weekend.

Kane has had 90 shots in the Premier League this season with 43 on target – both numbers are the highest for any player in the division.

We are predicting Tottenham to progress on Wednesday evening with the frontman having at least one effort on target.

Pedro Porro in for a tricky evening

Spanish full back Pedro Porro is expected to make a rare start for Spurs. There have not been many for him since joining Tottenham from Sporting Lisbon in January.

An adequate member of the defence, he will be hoping to put in a better display than he did in the 4-1 league defeat at Leicester City on February 11.

He will be in for a tough evening stopping Sheffield United on the counter-attack, with players such as Iliman Ndiaye and James McAtee particularly tricky for the Blades.

Porro had two or more fouls in three of his previous five appearances for Sporting Lisbon in the Portuguese league before leaving for Spurs – and we are expecting the same outcome for him tonight.

Sheffield United vs Tottenham tip 2: Pedro Porro 2+ fouls @ 15/8 with Sky Bet

Kane likely to be the man of the moment

The England captain has been incredible during his time at Tottenham and is now the club’s leading scorer with 268 goals.

He has netted on both of his previous two visits to Bramall Lane – and as the preferred penalty-taker is even more likely to get on the scoresheet.

Kane has scored 18 Premier League goals in 25 matches this season and we are expecting him to score again in midweek.

He is a much better price to score first this evening and with Heung-min Son out of form could definitely be worth a punt.
