Diamondbacks vs. Phillies prediction and odds for NLCS Game 7 (Bet the UNDER)

It’s only fitting that after the ALCS went seven games that the NLCS followed suit.

The Arizona Diamondbacks pulled off an upset win in Game 6 in Philadelphia – forcing the Philadelphia Phillies in a must-win scenario in Game 7.

Phillies manager Rob Thompson has declared that all hands are on deck for this matchup, which means we could see ace Zack Wheeler throw an inning or two in relief.

Ranger Suarez gets the ball for Philly against Arizona’s rookie right-hander Brandon Pfaadt.

This postseason, Pfaadt has a 2.13 ERA in three starts. He has not allowed a run over his last two outings.

Suarez has a 0.64 ERA this postseason, allowing just one run to the Atlanta Braves in three outings.

It’s not a flashy bet, but the UNDER is my favorite play for this game.

With all hands on deck likely for both sides, there should be a pretty quick hook at any time a pitcher is in serious trouble. Not only that, but four of the six games in this series have fallen short of this number.

Pfaadt has been really solid in the postseason, allowing just three runs (all in his first start) in 12.2 innings of work. Suarez, who has a career postseason ERA of 0.84, has allowed just seven hits in 14.0 innings this postseason.

The Philly offense has cooled off a bit since a 10-run Game 2, and I think at 8.5 we’re getting a little value in what should be a close game.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
