F1 odds, picks, preview: Max Verstappen heads to one of his best tracks for Austrian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen is the favorite to win the Austrian Grand Prix. Ver stappens is also the leader in the Formula One driver standings. Ferrari won the last race at Silverstone. Red Bull finished seventh. The return of the sprint race is on the schedule this weekend. Interlagos in Brazil will host the final sprint event of 2022.

Max Verstappen has four wins in the past six races held at the Red Bull Ring. The high altitude and potential for high temperatures make it a taxing track for cars. It's one of the shorter circuits on the F1 calendar at 2.7 miles (4.3 km) and one the wonkier qualifying tracks. Getting a tow from the car in front can be very powerful.

Verstappen is still the leader in the Formula One driver standings. Fernando Alonso has scored points in five straight races.

Ferrari chipped away at Red Bull's constructor standings lead for the second straight race. Mercedes has six podiums in 10 races, including third-place finishes in the last three grand prix.

Lewis Hamilton is 10-to-1 favorite for the Austrian Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen are co-favorites for pole position. LeClerc has six pole positions to Ver stappens' two. Ferrari has seven poles to Red Bull's three.

Max Verstappen has won four of the last six races in Austria. Gluck and Bianchi think Ver stupendous chances of him winning the championship are very high. Bianchis thinks there's a 10 percent chance of VerStappens teammate Sergio Perez coming back to win the title.

Carlos Sainz won the last race for Ferrari. He had a lot of luck in his favor, but he's not as strong as his teammate or Red Bull drivers. He's going to the Austrian Grand Prix. The race starts on Sunday. It's on one of the best tracks in the world.

Red Bull and Ferrari have won every race this season. Last year, it was Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton who dominated. Esteban Ocon and Daniel Ricciardo won races last year. Bianchi and Gluck think something will happen to change the outcome of the race.

Verstappen has won four times at the Red Bull Ring. He is a favorite to win the Austrian Grand Prix. Leclerc is also a favourite.  Gluck picks VerstAPPEN to take the pole position and win. Bianchi picks him to finish on the podium.

Practice 1 is at 7:30 a.m. ET/12: 30 p.M. GMT. Qualifying is 11 a., 11:45 a, 4:00 p., GMT, and the race is on Friday at 4 p,m., ET.

Austrian Grand Prix starts at 9 a.m. ET/2 p.M. GMT on Sunday.
