Tuesday’s MLB action will begin on the east coast at 6:40 p.m. EST, but arguably the most exciting action on the slate is in the Midwest. Ahead of first pitch tonight, the Milwaukee Brewers own a 1.5 game lead over the Cincinnati Reds in the National League Central division with less than half of the season remaining.

Not counting the All-Star Game, we have cashed five tickets in this article, narrowly missed 16 winners, and had 15 tickets seemingly dead on arrival. Playing longshot parlays each day, these results are within the parameters of what is expected.

In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable, which we have achieved to date. Overall, these plays are 56-48-1 (55.0%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

Below, we break down our favorite longshot (+700) look for July 25, focusing on today’s matchup between the Cincinnati Reds and Milwaukee Brewers!

MLB Parlay Piece for July 25, 2023

Cincinnati Reds -1.5 (+190)

The Cincinnati Reds dropped yesterday’s series opener to the Milwaukee Brewers, but it was Cincinnati’s first loss since July 18. Each of the Reds’ previous four victories as part of that winning streak came by double-digits, creating value on the reverse run line in this spot. Since July 15, the Brewers rank 17th in OPS and 22nd in line drive percentage against left-handed pitching. If Cincinnati can get some runs on the board early, Andrew Abbott should be able to keep the Milwaukee bats quiet enough to cash this leg of tonight’s ticket.

Matt McLain 2+ Total Bases (+175)

Matt McClain has made the majority of his money against southpaws in 2023, but he has still been plenty good against right-handed pitching. Entering play on Tuesday, McClain owns a .287 batting average, .843 OPS, and a 122 wRC+ against right-handed pitching. Corbin Burnes has been vulnerable against right-handed batters this year, with a 4.65 FIP, making this a worthwhile inclusion in today’s longshot parlay.

Corbin Burnes 6+ Strikeouts (-750)

According to props.cash, Corbin Burnes has recorded at least six strikeouts in 10 of his last 13 turns through the rotation. Tonight, he gets to face a Cincinnati Reds offense that ranks 21st in strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching during the month of July. Even if Burnes gets tagged for a few runs this evening, he should be able to get the job done here at this alt-number.
