Monday’s MLB action started earlier this afternoon with a pair of matinees, but there is still plenty of action left to get underway, with six games scheduled for first pitch at 7:05 p.m. EST or later.

Since we began posting this article, we have had 11 near misses, four cashed tickets, and eight parlays that were seemingly dead on arrival – all normal outcomes when consistently betting longshot parlays.

In this article, we never post a ticket with shorter than +700 odds, meaning that we only need to hit once each week to be profitable, which we have achieved to date. Overall, these plays are 38-30 (55.9%) if played as straight wagers, many of which have been significant alt-lines, even as individual tickets.

Below, we break down our favorite longshot (+750) look for July 3, focusing on today’s matchup between the Seattle Mariners and San Francisco Giants!

MLB Parlay Piece for July 3, 2023

  • Seattle Mariners Moneyline
  • Under 0.5 Total Runs – 1st Inning
  • Logan Webb 6+ Strikeouts
  • Cal Raleigh 1+ Total Bases

Seattle Mariners Moneyline (+115)

Yesterday, the San Francisco Giants played on Sunday Night Baseball against the New York Mets, creating a challenging travel schedule ahead of this evening’s contest on the other side of the country. Assuming the Giants flew out last night, they likely didn’t arrive back home until well after midnight. The travel concerns, coupled with the continued poor fundamental baseball that San Francisco displays, could have them in trouble tonight. The road underdogs are live.

Under 0.5 Total Runs – 1st Inning (-145)

Logan Webb has not been great in the first inning of games this season, but he was strong in 2022 – posting a 3.38 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP. This is to say that Webb is likely due for some positive regression in the opening frame of action during the second half of 2023. Prior to being called up, Bryan Woo allowed only one earned run and six total baserunners in nine first innings at Double-A this year. Expect him to catch a fatigued San Francisco lineup half asleep out of the gate on Monday.

Logan Webb 6+ Strikeouts (-145)

Is there a more favorable matchup for any pitcher on the board tonight, at least in terms of strikeouts? Since June 1, the Seattle Mariners rank 28th in strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching, only ahead of the Colorado Rockies and Minnesota Twins. Webb has eclipsed this market number in 10 of his 17 turns through the rotation this year, with four of his misses being games with five strikeouts. Webb has good swing-and-miss stuff and a favorable matchup tonight – trust him to get the job done.

Cal Raleigh 1+ Total Bases (-165)

Cal Raleigh is not a high-contact hitter, but he has seen the ball much better against right-handed pitching than against southpaws in 2023. Facing Logan Webb, who has had his share of troubles with left-handed batters in his career, Raleigh should be good for at least one base knock in this spot.
